Sound Absorbing Blankets

Outdoor Noise Reduction Got You Down? We Have the Solution

Since our noise barriers are soft and with sound absorbing wool inside, they are also called sound absorbing blankets or sound absorption curtains. Sound absorbing wool is not as strong as pvc or fiberglass wool. To improve it's lifetime, we sew sound absorbing wool and firberglass together with rhombus design, which also makes the backside looks better and looks like blankets.

Sound Absorbing Blankets

The sound absorbing wool could be glass wool, polyester wool or melamine foam. By default, we use polyester wool. Glass wool causes itches and not easy to sew with firberglass fabric. Melamine foam is a bit fragile and also can't be sewed with fiberglass fabric. Polyester wool is easy to handle and has great performance to absorb noise, that's why we choose polyester wool as the sound absorption material in our sound absorbing blankets system.

  • Glass wool and melamine foam failed to be one layer of our acoustic blankets, but they have other important use in acoustic field. Glass wool is often used to make fabric acoustic panel, which is widely used as wall panel in cinema or conference rooms where echo reduction or absorbing is required. Click here to contact us for more infomation about fabric acoustic panel.

  • Melamine foam can be made into different 3D acoustic designs and used as suspended ceiling. An important advantage is that melamine foam can be used in places under extremely high or low temperature. We want to focus on sound absorbing blankets as sound proof fence here. If your are interested in melamine foam, please contact us.
